One of London’s most iconic market spaces, Old Billingsgate supplied the capital with crate loads of freshly caught fish for over a hundred years. With the seafood now long gone, the venue is used for a wide variety of events throughout the year.
Old Billingsgate offers a choice of flexible event spaces, the largest of which is the Grand Hall. Occupying what was once the main market floor, the Grand Hall offers magnificent proportions, triple-height ceilings and a terrace with spectacular views of London. Brightly lit by ornate skylights and able to accommodate up to 1,800 for a sit-down dinner, 2,500 for a reception and 1,200 for a conference, it’s a fantastic choice for a large-scale event.
Smaller receptions, dinners and parties can be held in The Gallery. Light and airy with arching white beams and beautiful river views, The Gallery offers a more intimate space for your event. Able to accommodate up to 500 people for a reception, 230 for a sit-down meal and 300 for a conference, it provides plenty of space for a variety of occasions.
Located beneath the banks of the River Thames, The Vault is one of the most popular event spaces in Old Billingsgate. It was once used to store the daily catch when it came in off the boats and still retains a unique industrial feel. Use The Vault to host receptions for up to 900 guests and sit-down meals for up to 600 diners.
